NYIGF Offers Eco-friendly E-Badge Promotion

White Plains, NY — Three lucky retailers each will win iPod Nanos, as part of a new “Go Green Giveaway” contest connected with the new eBadge offered for the winter 2010 New York International Gift Fair® (NYIGF®).

To qualify, attendees must register, or update registrations, online at www.nyigf.com, by Friday, November 6.

The Go Green Giveaway is open to retailers who attended the winter and or/summer 2009 NYIGF, and who attend the winter 2010 NYIGF. As part of the contest registration, retailers must agree to receive an eBadge instead of the traditional print badge issued by mail.

“Nearly 1,000 retailers registered for eBadges within 24 hours of our e-blast promoting their availability. We’re delighted by the enthusiastic response to this convenient and eco-friendly method of registration and badging,” said Dorothy Belshaw, NYIGF director and GLM senior vice president. “This electronic process reduces waste and conserves resources connected with printing paper badges, and minimizes the carbon footprint connected with mailing tens of thousands of pieces through the mail.”

Immediately following completion of the online eBadge request, registrants receive a personalized bar code that is used to output a badge onsite at the Fair. Badge holders and lanyards also will be distributed onsite at all NYIGF registration locations.

New registrants can register and request eBadges through January 2010. NYIGF pre-registrants can register for the Go Green Giveaway by requesting an eBadge through Friday, November 6. The three contest winners will be notified and prizes will be awarded by February 22, 2010. This contest is sponsored by George Little Management, LLC (GLM), and offered to legal U.S. residents at least 18 years old, excluding residents of the State of Florida.

NYIGF runs Saturday, January 30 through Thursday, February 4, 2010, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Pier 94. NYIGF is the nation’s premier gift, home and lifestyle marketplace, with 2,800 exhibiting companies featuring an extraordinary breadth and depth of design-driven home fashion products and complementary giftware. Some 31,000 attendees from all 50 states and more than 85 countries worldwide are expected. Information and registration is available online at www.nyigf.com.
