Old Tom Foolery to Unveil Two New Card Collections at the National Stationery Show

Old Tom Foolery, maker of “Unsappy, uncrappy cards and curiosities,” is set to launch a slew of new products at the 2012 National Stationery Show, May 20-­‐ 23 in New York City.

The company was lucky enough to team up with gift-­‐industry icon Magnetic Poetry to create a colorful new collection of cards—aptly titled The Magnetic Poetry Collection—which features random poems on classic retro refrigerators.

“Mag Po is from Minneapolis, we’re from Minneapolis; they’re word nerds, we’re word nerds—it was the perfect partnership,” said Old Tom Foolery co-­‐owner Lauren Gryniewski.

The second new card line—The Marquee Collection—is a delightfully deadpan spoof of those white roadside marquee signs owned by just about every business, school, and church on the planet.

NSS 2012 also marks the trade show debut for Old Tom Foolery’s newest poster series, Words of Wisdom, circa 1891. The screen-­‐printed vintage posters feature unintentionally funny advice from the 19th century.

“It’s both exciting and nerve-­‐wracking to release so many new things at once,” said OTF co-­‐owner Joel Gryniewski. “But mostly exciting.” All of Old Tom Foolery’s new products (and old favorites) will be on display at NSS Booth #1550, and online at www.oldtomfoolery.com.
