Paper Epiphanies to open store inside Portland International Airport

Greeting card publisher and concept shop Paper Epiphanies (PiPH) was awarded a contract to open a 1,000-square-foot feature store inside Portland International Airport’s (PDX) newest terminal, Market Hall, debuting in May 2024.

The shop is part of the $2 billion capital expansion project for the Port of Portland. The contract was awarded as part of the most competitive RFP process in the airport’s history.

“We are humbled, exhilarated, honored — frankly every word you can think of for this incredible opportunity,” said Victoria Venturi, founder and CEO of Paper Epiphanies. “Not only will this partnership jettison our business and the independent greeting card business to new heights, it will also enable us to change the lives of other woman-owned brands. Amplifying women is a PiPH core value, and this will give us a massive platform to continue to do that.”

The PiPH at PDX store will house the signature neon card wall synonymous with the brand that holds more than 500 cards, all designed by women and a majority of which are made by PiPH at their Flagship Store in Portland, Oregon. Additionally, the store will sell other paper goods, writing utensils, gifts, organic sundries, periodicals not currently found at PDX, stamps and more.

“We’re so excited to welcome Victoria and her team to the PDX neighborhood,” said Kaitlin Hunter, senior manager of concessions at the Port of Portland. “With their focus on empowering women and minority artists, and their line of 100% tree-free greeting cards made in house, Paper Epiphanies is bringing even more great Pacific Northwest vibes to the airport.”

In conjunction with the PiPH at PDX opening, PiPH will debut its “Mail High Club” program to encourage the sending of mail at airports nationwide. The cheeky program, which encourages consumers to write and mail letters from airports and onboard planes, will be supported with customized stickers and stamps, revolutionary marketing campaigns, and a one-of-a-kind oversized mailbox that will be a visual destination draw.

Portland International Airport welcomes approximately 20 million visitors per year. The PiPH at PDX Aviation Boutique will open in Summer 2024.
