Philadelphia Souvenir & Resort Expo to debut in 2019

Responding to demand from Northeast | Mid-Atlantic region souvenir/resort retailers seeking a convenient winter marketplace to source product for their busy tourist seasons, Clarion UX has launched the Philadelphia Souvenir & Resort Expo.  Running alongside the January 4-7, 2019 edition of the Philadelphia Gift Show at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA, the new Expo will bring together 150+ vendors showcasing a versatile selection of souvenir/resort merchandise custom-tailored for the regional marketplace.

Further strengthening the market offerings, the Philadelphia National Candy, Gift & Gourmet Show will once again co-locate with the Philadelphia Gift Show at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center from January 5-7, 2019, now giving retailers three shows under one roof.

“From the Jersey Shore to New England to countless other tourist destinations throughout the region, we think the new Philadelphia Souvenir & Resort Expo will deliver tremendous business benefits to our buyer and vendor audiences alike,” says Lisa Glosson, vice president of Gift & Souvenir, Clarion UX (formerly Urban Expositions). “By bringing three complementary shows together – gift, souvenir/resort, candy —  in one convenient, cost-effective setting, we’re creating a can’t miss event packed with cross-over buying and selling opportunities.”

The new Philadelphia Souvenir & Resort Expo will build upon the well-established buyer base the Philadelphia Gift Show already attracts, including retailers from top tourist areas in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, the New England area and beyond.

“We will also tap into the strong relationships we have in the souvenir/resort industry to attract retailers who have not previously attended our Philadelphia marketplace, including national parks, concessionaires, beach/surf shops, zoos, aquariums, museums and other souvenir shops. And, we plan to attract a number of the top name souvenir/resort brands and lines that participate in our other shows, as well,” adds Glosson, citing the strong Clarion UX souvenir portfolio, including shows like the Las Vegas Souvenir & Resort Gift Show, Smoky Mountain Gift Show, Ocean City Resort Gift Expo and Grand Strand Gift & Resort Merchandise Show.

The new show’s exhibitor base will include sales agencies and manufacturers offering products custom-tailored to the specialized needs of the region’s retailers, including resort/destination merchandise, custom/name drop, beach items, resort wear, novelties, nautical/coastal items, licensed products, toys/games and more.

These  resources will come together with those of the Philadelphia Gift Show, which showcases a full range of resources in virtually every category, with additional product spotlight on key growth areas, including: Makers’ Market | Artisan Alley, Home Accents, Made in America, the new Northeast Flavors gourmet sector, and a host of other gifts and accessories.  In addition, retailers will also have the chance to explore the Philadelphia Candy Gift & Gourmet Show floor featuring candy, chocolate and gourmet specialties, candy-making equipment, packaging, plush items and more.

Buyer registration will open in late September and one badge will give retailers access to all three events.  For information on attending, visit www.philadelphiagiftshow.com or contact Lynn Visser at  678.370. 0342 or email lvisser@urban-expo.com.  For exhibiting information, contact Sonya Lowe at slowe@urban-expo.com | 678.370.0350 or Jeannie Dorchak at 678.370.0340 | jdorchak@urban-expo.com
