Gaylord, MI – Visitors to downtown Gaylord’s Alpine Chocolat Haus, 208 W. Main St., will be pleasantly surprised, thanks to what owner Bruce Brown referred to as a retail face-lift.

The confectionery shop, open in Gaylord since 1985, embraced changed on multiple levels, including décor, product line and overall philosophy.

Every aspect of the interior was touched in some way, according to Brown. Fresh paint, new carpeting, new displays and energy-efficient LED lighting come together to create a store that has a softer, warmer appeal.

“We arranged almost everything differently,” the owner explained. “The displays are now laid out in a way that makes our most popular products the focal point and that, in turn, changed the whole dynamic of how people move through the store.”
