Pop Up Holiday Shop to Feature Hand-made Gifts in Oak ParkBy Meredith MorrisOakPark.SunTimes.com

Oak Park, IL – Locally-sourced gifts are popping up this holiday season at a new shop in Downtown Oak Park offering works by more than 20 local artisans.

The Pop Up Holiday Shop, opening Nov. 15, is the second endeavor by POP-Up By Design, a project of Berwyn artist Jacqui Ross and Oak Park artist Bryan Northup. The short-term shopping site is located in the formerly-vacant storefront at 1000 Lake Street.

At the shop, visitors will find an empty space transformed into a bounty of colorful decorations and handcrafted gift selections including jewelry, fused and hand-blown glass, painted furniture, quilts, scarves, note cards, stuffed animals and more. Ornaments and vintage items will also be displayed.
