Artful Shopper: Preppy in Paradise busy since its opening
Florida — Talking shop with Leanne Luehrman, owner of Preppy in Paradise, a monogramming boutique in Fort Myers.
“Preppy in Paradise is very bright and cheery and well organized. We stock items that are for gift giving. We’re not really fancy, but we do have boutique items,” said Luehrman.
The store is located in a small, white brick building at 9541 Cypress Lake Drive, very close to McGregor Boulevard in Fort Myers. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call 481-1995.
How did you start?
I started doing embroidery as a hobby out of my home. We would do it for charity events and for school. It grew and grew. We thought we needed to expand. It is a gift-giving experience so we looked for a place that was inexpensive and accessible. And we’ve been busy ever since we opened on March 1.
