Reinvention: Monroe Shop Has New Focus
Monroe, CT – After 26 years in business, Country Hearts, located in the Clock Tower Square Plaza in Monroe, has reinvented itself as Lorraine K., a boutique carrying women’s clothing, accessories and giftware.
Owned by Lorraine McGowan, of Monroe, Lorraine K. opened over two and a half decades ago as a primitive country store.
Originally only 750 square feet of hand stenciled walls and checkered curtains, Country Hearts offered decorative painting classes and sold country gifts and houseware for the country home.
