Even though Easter falls later on the calendar this year — April 24 — retailers are expecting to see sales hopping.

Total Easter spending is expected to increase 13 percent to $14.7 billion this year, according to the National Retail Federation’s 2011 Easter Consumer Intentions and Actions survey. The average consumer is predicted to spend $131 dollars, up 10 percent from $119 in 2010.
