San Francisco Gift Fair exhibitors enjoy productive winter show

San Francisco International Gift Fair winter edition exhibitors reported steady order-writing and quality traffic during the show, which was Feb. 21-24, 2015. Attracting top western region and national retail buyers from wineries, galleries, lifestyle, specialty retail and home accessory stores to the Moscone Center, the winter edition featured an upscale selection of contemporary gift and home products, including creative new designs from 30 plus first-time vendors for retailers to explore.

The Fair welcomed a number of new initiatives and new resources to the show roster, which included thousands of lines conveniently organized into 11 product sectors on the show floor, including: Gifts, Design, Home & Garden, Makers’ Market, Museum, Personal Style, Tabletop, Gourmet & Housewares, Treasures to Go, Village Arts, and Vintage Collection. In addition, the newly rebranded Makers’ Market sector put a special spotlight on artisans and designers showcasing handcrafted crafts in a variety of categories, including jewelry, home décor, tabletop and more. Attending retailers voted on the section’s Best Maker, selecting Tea Drops of Los Gatos, California, as the winner.

The San Francisco International Gift Fair put the spotlight on more than 30 first-time exhibitors with a number of special pre-show marketing programs and on-site promotions, ranging from special show floor stickers identifying them as a new exhibitor, to lobby displays and more.

The vast and versatile selection received rave reviews from attending retailers. “Great show, great products, great city. I never miss the San Francisco show,” said Gary Sprague of Maumee World Traders in Cincinnati.

Exhibitor reports of brisk order-writing and new business added to the buzz on the show floor. “Tons of new accounts and leads — I am so glad we exhibited at the SFIGF,” said Farida Kornbluth of Transpac.

The San Francisco International Gift Fair will return to the Moscone Center’s North Hall July 25-28 for the summer edition.
