San Francisco International Gift Fair to Put Spotlight on Green Resources

White Plains, NY – In line with the sharp rise in consumer demand for ‘green,’ sustainable products, this summer the San Francisco International Gift Fair will provide forward-thinking retailers with a list of exhibiting companies that offer eco-friendly resources. This spotlight on companies that promote environmentally sound products, packaging and/or manufacturing methods will be a first for the show, July 28-August 1, 2007, at the Moscone Center.

“As this worldwide consumer demand for ‘green’ evolves into an actual lifestyle, the consumer goods industries need to respond in order to remain ahead of the curve,” said Wendy Tonkin, President, Western Exhibitors. “Green has not only become a highly sought-after category, it has, virtually overnight, pervaded every facet of our lives. Eco-conscious companies that promote sustainability are a natural fit for San Francisco – recently deemed the ‘greenest’ city in the nation by ABC Nightly News – and we are pleased to facilitate this ‘greening’ of the Gift Fair.”

A complimentary resource listing of all companies offering “green” product will be available to buyers onsite at the Fair. In addition, a special Green Display featuring the Fair’s eco-friendly merchandise will be located on the exhibit floor, near the rear of the 2500 aisle in Moscone’s South Hall.
