Young Scientist Club Awarded Toy of the Year

Jamestown, RI – Science experiments can happen anywhere – in the kitchen, on a picnic table or in the lab. But to experiment with space, the final frontier, you need to have the right stuff. The panel of experts at the 2008 Creative Child Awards concur that The Young Scientists Club’s Magic School Bus Secrets of Space and Soaring Into Flight science kits offer a cosmic view like no other. So they named them, respectively, Toy of the Year and Preferred Choice in the Educational Science Kits category.

Creative Child Magazine hosts a 2-day annual event in Henderson, Nevada where guest reviewers – child educators and moms — are invited to participate. All products are divided into categories and displayed at various review stations. Upon completion of the event, all review forms are collected, scores are tabulated and awards given (or not) based on dozens of comments.

All award winners are officially announced at www.creativechild.com and are showcased in their big Holiday issue, distributed in early November. Only one product per category can win a Toy of the Year award. The remaining finalists receive a prestigious Preferred Choice award – given to Runners-Up of the Toy of the Year.

The Young Scientists Club, winner of numerous national awards, is proud to announce its latest honors:
