‘Shop Local’ Movement Gains Steam in DelawareBy DelawareOnline.com

Wilmington, DE – Ask Carol Harvey what might happen if she shuttered her specialty kids’ outlet and you’ll get a dramatic response.

“There’s going to be a riot if this one goes out of business,” said Harvey, owner of Hansel and Gretel Children’s Boutique in Wilmington’s Talleyville Shopping Center. “People tell me all the time, ‘Please don’t close.’ “

In the last year, Harvey said she’s encountered a growing number of clients looking to support a small business or to discover one-of-a kind goods for their little ones.
