Shop Small in Clinton: Annual Small Business Saturday, Nov. 29By Nj.com

Clinton, NJ – Small Business Saturday, a day where consumers are encouraged to buy from local businesses, particularly for their holiday shopping, will take place on Nov. 29. It is an initiative that was started by American Express in 2010, and it always takes place on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and the Black Friday shopping day.

The Clinton Book Shop and Fourchette, both locally owned and operated businesses in Clinton, are sponsoring Small Business Saturday for the Town of Clinton. As “neighborhood champions,” Clinton Book Shop owners: Harvey Finkel and Rob Dougherty and Fourchette owners: Meredith Hyland and Brahim Sadouni, have sourced Small Business Saturday materials, are sharing informational campaigns to area residents and visitors to educate them about shopping locally, and have created a special Facebook page: (Shop Small Clinton), to engage the community in this important initiative.

Shoppers will be reminded of their positive choice to Shop Small on Saturday, Nov. 29. The town of Clinton will be decorated with Shop Small balloons, welcome mats and banners, and shoppers will receive special Shop Small totes for their purchases.
