Sparklehearts Introduces Girl-Friendly Line of Natural Beauty Products

Los Angeles, CA — Most girls would wince in disgust if you told them their favorite body wash contained a chemical that is produced by boiling bugs (called carmine.) And, most parents would wince in disgust if you told them their daughter’s body lotion contained sulfates, phthalates and dozens of toxins and chemicals. Enter Sparklehearts, a line of natural, safe and fun beauty products that are girl- and parent-approved.

Sparklehearts products are made from 99.6% natural ingredients that are completely “skinemy”-free, that means no harmful toxins or unpleasant ingredients. Instead, they use essential oils, violet extract, coconut, Shea butter, and green tea extract in their products. So, they not only feel and smell great, but because they’re all-natural they’re actually better for the body.

Moms Hilary Orr and Darcy McMahon came up with Sparklehearts when their search for natural beauty products for their daughters came up empty. Sure, they could find natural products, but none had the appeal of the products in flashy packaging that always seemed to catch their daughters’ eye. So, they decided to create a line of natural, environmentally-friendly beauty products designed especially for girls.

Further motivation to produce the line came when a study found that nearly 60% of products placed on the skin are absorbed into the body. “We were disgusted by the thought of petroleum, sulfates and phthalates being absorbed into our daughters’ bodies,” said co-creator Hilary Orr.

After years of research and development, and input from four of their toughest critics—their daughters, the Sparklehearts line was ready. Orr’s own daughter devised the name Sparklehearts after testing the products, a name that perfectly embodies the brand.

Sparklehearts products are made in the USA from 99.6% natural materials, using no artificial fragrances or colors, parabens, phthalates or sulfates. Their products are never tested on animals and are packaged in stylish bottles using 100% post-consumer recycled materials. There are currently five Sparklehearts products to choose from:
