The Link Companies (Link Charities) Host Successful Charity Event
The Link Companies (Link Charities) hosted an evening starring Jeff Foxworthy and more at the historic Tabernacle in downtown Atlanta on January 9th during the Atlanta International Gift/Home Furnishings Market. The event was the annual Link Charities Fundraiser which benefitted four deserving charities: Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Wellspring Living, The Atlanta Mission and Lighthouse Family Retreat.
Representatives of each charity were on hand to give insight and information on their respective organizations. The host site was The Tabernacle, a legendary music and entertainment venue known for special events and gatherings for entertainers from around the world. The night featured a comedy performance from the one and only Jeff Foxworthy and music from the wonderfully entertaining “Big Swing and the Ballroom Blasters.” Lug, GHTA, and Brandwise were industry sponsors. Over $40,000 was raised for the charities capping off an unforgettable night for those who attended.
Fred Rosenkampff, CEO of The Link Companies, welcomed the crowd of approximately 1,100 and gave special attention to the task at hand: raising money for the four charities. Rosenkampff introduced the charity representatives and they each told the attentive audience stories of hope and encouragement that inspired everyone, which included young patients from Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. After the table was set for the special night of charitable giving, Jeff Foxworthy, undoubtedly the world’s most popular comic, took the stage to resounding applause. Mr. Foxworthy gave a comedic performance that had the entire audience laughing for more than an hour and earned him a resounding standing ovation. A brief intermission allowed event goers the chance to mingle and purchase raffle tickets to help the Link Charities break the pre-event goal of $35,000. The legendary party band “Big Swing & the Ballroom Blasters” then entertained the attendees for two hours of musical numbers spanning a wide array of artists. Rosenkampff echoed the sentiments of all involved in the event as he stated, “We couldn’t have enjoyed a better evening. Jeff was tremendously funny and entertaining, the band was incredible and everyone had fun. And, to top it off, we surpassed our goal for four amazing charities.”
