Decorating from the home townBy Melissa McClendonPryorDailyTimes.com

Heather Davis is crazy about decorating. When her third child was old enough to start school she knew she wanted to get a job. So she decided to put her love of decorating and desire to go back to work into her very own business. She created The Crazy Daisy, a shop full of fun decor and great gift ideas.

“My youngest is starting school and I knew I was going to get a job. I wanted to do something that I liked,” said Davis. “I’ve always done flower arrangements and love to decorate.”

She opened her shop on June 24, in Locust Grove, hoping to offer “something different” to the community. She offers green plants, candles, home decor, Western decor, cook books, purses, birthday party supplies, just about anything Pirate and much more.

“I thought it would be convenient for the people of Locust Grove,” Davis said on offering party supplies.

At The Crazy Daisy, customers can browse through the party themes then pick out a cake to match. Davis said she has an arrangement with a local baker to have the cakes made on request then customers can pick them up at her shop. She said she also tries to keep in stock the latest trends for parties including Pirate, Pirate princess, John Deere, Hannah Montana and High School Musical.

The Crazy Daisy also offers baby shower supplies. Another service Davis has is customized gift baskets. She said the baskets are great for showers, birthdays and any occasion. Baskets can also be delivered in the Locust Grove area. Davis said if a customer isn’t sure what to put in a basket, they can provide a price range and maybe a little about who the gift is for, then Davis will help pick the right items for the basket.

Another gift idea is a candy bouquet. Davis said she will put together a candy bouquet for any occasion and any size. The bouquets start at $5 and go up depending on the size.
