Oak Cliff, TX – The boutique-size white facade bears only a discreet sign on the red door, but just inside is a quaint, 500-square-foot shop filled with the works of artist and jewelry designer Vincent Coppolino. His sterling silver and gold necklaces, bracelets and earrings are laced with semiprecious stones, turquoise or agates, and dangle from displays. His acrylics, watercolors and oils fill every inch of wall space.

It’s all part of Coppolino’s vision for his studio and boutique, called Dr Cops PopUp Shop. But don’t let the store’s name deceive: He isn’t going anywhere.

The pop-up reference applies to Coppolino’s seasonal installations and store refreshes. About four times a year, he replaces every piece of his handmade inventory with new creations centered on a theme, and he also partners with local furniture designers to bring in fresh pieces. “I give the store a completely different look,” he says. “It’s a twist on the pop-up shop concept.”
