Toland Home Garden Products Benefit GreaterGood Charities

Starting in 2013, selected items designed by GreaterGood will be offered by Toland Home Garden of Port Townsend, WA. Sale of these items will benefit the causes supported by GreaterGood’s The Breast Cancer Site, The Veterans Site, and The Animal Rescue Site.

These GreaterGood Garden hanging planters, bird feeders, and garden flags debut at the Atlanta Gift Show in January. Toland Home Garden products are sold through garden centers nationwide.

Each of the specially marked items will provide support for nonprofits providing services in the areas of breast cancer detection, food banks for veterans, and animal rescue. Distribution of the grants funded by this partnership will be done by the nonprofit GreaterGood.org.

“We are so excited to be partnering with Toland,” said Liz Baker, director of GreaterGood.org. “This is a new opportunity for us to introduce The Breast Cancer Site, The Veterans Site, and The Animal Rescue Site to gardeners throughout the United States.”

Every product marked with The Breast Cancer Site’s pink ribbon will help fund mammograms for women in need. Products marked with The Veterans Site’s name will pay for meals and food bank services for those veterans and their families who need assistance. The Animal Rescue Site items benefit shelters and rescue groups, helping to feed animals currently waiting for their forever homes. More information about these products is available from www.tolandhomegarden.com.

Toland Home Garden has been a wholesaler of garden-related products for more than 35 years.

More About GreaterGood

Since 1999, the GreaterGood Network of cause related websites have raised almost $30 million for charity. The Network began with the Internet’s first “Click To Give” website in 1999: The Hunger Site (www.thehungersite.com).

Between 2000 and 2002, the “Click Here To Give” program expanded to include The Animal Rescue Site (www.theanimalrescuesite.com), The Breast Cancer Site (www.thebreastcancersite.com), The Child Health Site (www.thechildhealthsite.com), The Literacy Site (www.theliteracysite.com), and The Rainforest Site (www.therainforestsite.com). In 2011, two more “Click Here To Give” websites were added: The Veterans Site (www.theveteranssite.com) and The Autism Site (www.theautismsite.com).

Visitors to the GreaterGood Network can donate for free to their favorite causes by utilizing the “Click Here To Give” colored button located on each website’s homepage. Click donations are paid for by sponsoring advertisers and 100% of the fees from site sponsorships go to charity.

GreaterGood.org also partnered with several corporations in 2012 to help their customers support their favorite causes (the cause/charity benefited is noted in parenthesis). These included Rover.com (animal rescue), DIP Publishing House for Musiq Soulchild’s book sales (breast cancer), Pintofeed (animal rescue), and Dynamics (animal rescue, breast cancer, and hunger relief), among others.
