“Kind of like we change flags, they change clothes,” said Theresa Anderson of Southport. Anderson introduced the seasonal goose outfit concept to the south – becoming the first in the area to make the goose clothes and hence inspiring the name of her unique gift store, Duck Duck Goose.

“We are the true souvenir shop,” said Anderson. “You can go to Chicago and buy the exact same thing you can buy in Florida. Our gifts are true souvenirs.”

From goose outfits to Anderson’s hot-selling painted wine glasses to candles, to soaps, gourmet chocolates, jewelry, clothes made out of chenille bedspreads, needle felted purses, hats and a plethora of baby and children’s gifts – everything sold at Duck Duck Goose Unique Gifts is made by local artists.”Everyone sells a lot of everything,” said Anderson.
