Urban Expositions Names Courtney Muller Executive Vice President

Urban Expositions has today announced that Courtney Muller has been appointed Executive Vice President of the Atlanta-based trade show and expositions company. As EVP of Urban Expositions, Ms. Muller will report directly to Partners and Owners Doug Miller and Tim von Gal. She will assume responsibility for overseeing much of the day-to-day management of the company, as well as seek out new acquisitions, launches and partnerships for Urban Expositions.

Founded in 1996, Urban Expositions has grown to be a dominant force in the gift & souvenir show sector boasting twenty-one successful gift, decorative accessory, souvenir, and resort merchandise trade shows throughout the United States. In the past few years Urban has begun to diversify its business into industry sectors including Foodservice, Art, Gaming and Aviation. Ms. Muller has been hired to ensure the future success of its current business as well as to contribute to new directions the company seeks in the future.

As part of her role and responsibilities, Courtney will oversee the Urban Expositions senior team responsible for the Gift and Souvenir business, including Dirk von Gal, industry vice president of gift; Donna Guess, vice president of souvenir shows and operations; and Joan Ulrich, vice president of marketing and specialty shows.

Muller has almost 25 years’ experience in the trade show business and has worked on events covering a dozen industry sectors. Muller was the driving force behind many industry leading events over her career, including Global Gaming Expo, International Vision Expo East and West, and BookExpo America to name a few. Courtney states: “I am excited to work with this team and on these events. Urban Expositions’ unique ability to serve the market in their own communities with product tailored to regional tastes has unparalleled value and we look forward to building on this successful platform.”

As noted, Ms. Muller will be looking for new opportunities not only in the industry sectors that she is familiar with but well beyond. Urban Expositions has recently announced the launch of Flying Aviation Expo which took place October 31-November 2 in Palm Springs and will be announcing more new business in the near future.
