YooHoo & Friends EBook, App Launch on Apple Devices

Aurora World Inc., today announced two new iPhone and iPad releases based on its best-selling plush animal line called YooHoo & Friends (www.yoohoofriends.com). A YooHoo & Friends Adventure is an ebook for iPad adapted from the YooHoo & Friends animated series while Action Sticker HD is an educational app for iPhone and iPad that helps children build learning skills via the theory of multiple intelligences.

Kessler says, “Action Sticker HD was created to help kids improve their overall cognitive skills. The app incorporates the theory of multiple intelligences into its design.” Proposed by Howard Gardner in 1983, the theory challenges traditional beliefs in education that intelligence is dominated by a single, general ability (I.Q.). Gardner suggests people have many different intelligences including musical, mathematical, interpersonal, linguistic and spatial-visual. Action Sticker HD will challenge those abilities and more via 12 interactive and entertaining stages; ages 4+, $0.99 (iPhone), $1.99 (iPad).

The interactive ebook, A YooHoo & Friends Adventure (ages 4+, $1.99, iPad), includes games, coloring pages, sticker activities and information about the rare and/or endangered animals on which YooHoo & Friends is based. Kessler says, “Three reading modes allow kids to follow along as the story is read aloud, explore at one’s own pace, or auto play. Even cooler, mom or dad can record their voices reading the story and hear it played back as narration.”
