Zamsoe Promotes Female Empowerment and Opportunities through Greeting Cards, Art and Jewelry business

Yarm, Cleveland – Zamsoe has embraced the concept of female empowerment by employing more home workers to meet the demands of its successful greeting cards, art and jewellery business.

“We are offering home workers (the majority who are women) the opportunity to work with us producing high quality hand made products. Many women are often feeling ‘trapped’ at home due to many circumstances such as child care or family commitment and are missing the opportunity and freedom to ‘contribute’ to something other than what they are currently doing. Zamsoe is training these people and giving them renewed confidence and self worth in a flexible and supportive environment designed to meet their needs and our business needs. Hopefully they will use this as a springboard to other things that they may want to do such as college or other work,” says Karen Wanless owner of Zamsoe.

Zamsoe has chosen this, as one method of production in order to meet its social responsibilities as a fast growing business in the UK and is looking to employ a further 20 homeworkers over the next twelve months, who have the skill and commitment that is needed to meet the high standards of its retail and gallery customers.

About Zamsoe
Zamsoe (a combination of Karens childrens names – Zoe and Sam) was established in 2001 by Karen Wanless. Following a mid life ‘career crisis’ she went from being a nursing sister to studying textiles and making textile art – giving up health promotion to promote her own dream of becoming a designer maker and Zamsoe has gone from strength to strength.

The Zamsoe product ranges are all designed to provide visually exciting results and are constructed from the best quality materials from around the world. Keeping the quality reputation of our brand is important, as is introducing new innovative designs.

As one of the fastest growing design brands in the UK its products cover hand made greeting cards, wire and embroidered jewellery, art and jewellery DIY kits.

Based in the North East of England in the market town of Yarm Zamsoe has a team of sales agents that promote our work to retailers and galleries both in the UK and with increasing enquiries from abroad we are exploring how we will export our range of products.
