Brooklyn’s Williamsburg section exudes its own special hip flavor including through its gift shops. The eclectic shop Red Pearl features gift items such as books or exotic pillows by Brooklyn’s Lucky Fish; the store also sells unique clothing items. Owner Aya Keen says the concept works because gift seasons tend to be different than fashion season. Both men and women ranging in age from 20-70 shop the store. Keen says younger guys love her candle selections. “The good thing about this store’s mix of missions, we are open for everyone,” Keen says.
