Artist Revamps Jewelry for Sale at Heritage Museum
Hendersonville, NC – What’s old is new again at the Heritage Museum, where vintage jewelry is finding new sparkle in up-to-date settings in a new collection of wearable pieces available in the museum gift shop.
Costume jewels such as brooches and shoe clips are being resurrected as pendants, bracelets and earrings, thanks to the skilled eye and hands of Abbie Doyle.
“Retro stuff is trendy again,” says Doyle, owner of My Garden of Beadin’, a bead and jewelry store on Church Street. “Why leave jewelry in a drawer when it can be worn and enjoyed again?”
