Bella Sara Anticipates Strong Presence in Russian Market

Seattle, WA – Bella Sara™ announces, today, details of a ground-breaking collaboration with Rosman-Press to publish, distribute, and market a variety of Bella Sara products throughout Russia.

This pioneering effort is the first time a major property has been introduced to Russia to support an online component. Rosman-Press will begin their work with the Bella Sara brand by launching Bella Sara’s Starlights collectible card series this autumn. A series of other deals are already in place for the property, including the publishing of Bella Sara novels, stationery, and a fan-based magazine, while negotiations for other deals are ongoing.

“Bella Sara is an incredibly strong brand and we expect it to do extremely well in Russia,” said Claus Tømming, Director – Russia and Entertainment at Kidz Entertainment/EEMC. “This is a very significant deal as it represents the first time a web-based property has launched properly in Russia. All the parties involved in this collaboration realize that media usage is changing in Russia; moving away from a TV-dominated market to a multi-media environment where the internet will be increasingly important. The launch of Bella Sara is recognition of this and shows that we are all looking forward.”

In addition to the partnership with Rosman-Press, Bella Sara recently signed a deal with Kidz Entertainment/EEMC to broker licensing agreements in Russia and C.I.S. countries.

Since its introduction, Bella Sara has widened its family of products from trading cards and an online world (BellaSara.com) to apparel, back-to-school items, DVDs, toys, books, games, and puzzles through various international licensing agreements.

Available online and at over 65,000 points of sale, Bella Sara products are sold in 27 countries to mass-merchandisers, independent specialty toy and game/hobby boutiques and kiosks. Major US retailers include Wal-Mart, Target, Toys R Us and Amazon.com. Internationally, Bella Sara is sold through Hidden City Entertainment’s international distribution partners into various sales channels.
