Cottage Mills introduces two new Personalized Cell Phone Cases

Waunakee, WI – “How can I tell my iPod Touch apart from my friend’s?” was a common question in the Foght household. During a busy weekend of play dates and sleepovers, two to five iPod Touchs could be seen on the kitchen counter. If anyone came to claim one they had to physically go into the Touch to see whose it was. “That was the premise behind the PixCase™ and Personalize-It-Yourself PIYCase™” states Jay Foght, President of Jaymo and Cottage Mills. “I started thinking of an easier way to personalize an iPod Touch or phone on the outside.” Both cases will be launched at this year’s Atlanta Gift Show on January 14-18, Building 3, Booth 5-1223.

The PixCase™ combines the black vinyl side of a conventional phone case with the non-glare surface of a picture frame. Because the photo appears inside the back of the phone case, all one has to do is flip over the phone to show off the photo. The PIYCase™ takes another twist on personalization. A person can decorate a case with the included backgrounds and stickers making it completely one-of-a-kind. “Our cases allow you to change your photos or designs whenever you want” says Jay. “With current cases, you have to download software, buy replacement skins or buy a new one when you want something different for your iPod or phone. Not anymore.” PIY backgrounds will soon be available to case owners at no charge on the website. There anyone will be able to click and drag designs onto the on-screen template and print them out on an inkjet color printer. The Pix and PIY cases are produced for the following products: iPod Touch 3 and 4, iPhone 3 and 4, iPad, Blackberry Curve, Bold, Blackberry Storm, Blackberry Tour and Blackberry Torch. Suggested retail price for the cases range from $23.99 to $26.99 depending on model. All will be available to purchase online after January 30.
