Fashion Plays Off of Food-Truck Trend
San Diego, CA -Afternoon sunlight dapples the pink floor and ceiling in Steps to Steelo, a boutique specializing in the flowy, Southern California street fashion San Diegans love.
Clothes racks filled with airy blouses, skirts and jumpers line a wall across from displays of jewelry made by San Diego artisans. In the back, a pink curtain hangs from a u-shaped rod, creating a compact dressing room.
The address? Today it’s 901 Garnet St. in Pacific Beach. Tomorrow it will be wherever owner Cara Ramos feels like parking for the day.
