Global gift trends launch at AmericasMart

The global leader in gift product, AmericasMart Atlanta, sets the 2017 market year in motion when the first and most important buying event in the gift industry opens on January 10, 2017. The Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market (showrooms January 10-17, temporaries, January 12-16) now in its 60th year, presents new and expanded showrooms across all gift merchandise categories – General and Specialty Gift, Gourmet & Housewares, Tabletop and Gift, Home Accents and Gifts and The Gardens.

“The 15th floor is the perfect, vibrant location to showcase our manufacturer partners. This is a spectacular move for the Road Runners team. We are honored to be located on a floor near so many other beautiful showrooms,” said Richard Gilbert, agency principal. Road Runner’s newly designed showroom features nearly 9,500-square feet of premium giftware and lifestyle products and allows the group to accommodate a growing sales team while offering customers enhanced amenities, more personalized service and an overall better shopping experience according to RaeLee Reimold Walton, southeast sales manager.

AmericasMart’s Building 2 Gift collection is organized as:

  • General and Specialty Gift: Building 2, Floors 6, 7, 14-18
  • Gourmet and Housewares: Building 2, Floor 8
  • Tabletop and Gift: Building 2, Floors 8 and 9
  • Home Accents and Gifts: Building 2, Floors 10-13
  • The Gardens: Building 2, Floors 9 & 10

“With its unmatched depth and breadth of product, AmericasMart’s Gift collection showcases every aspect of the gift community from collectibles, home accents, stationery and accessories to outdoor living, holiday, tabletop, gourmet foods and housewares, and Made in America,” said Mary Sullivan, senior vice president of Leasing for AmericasMart Buildings 2 and 3. “This unmatched representation of trendsetting gift product in its global debut makes  AmericasMart the most important and influential gift marketplace in the world.”

International brands tapping into AmericasMart’s global leadership include Nordic home and interior design line Bloomingville, which exclusively launches its new holiday collection with Ivystone at the January 2017 Market.

“Just a year ago, we were presenting Bloomingville to the American market for the first time. With great joy, we report that over the past year we’ve received an outstanding response to the brand and couldn’t be more excited to begin a new year with double the SKU count than was launched last January,” said Eugene Wang, chief operating officer of Regent Holding Company. “In addition to launching new products for spring/summer 2017, we are introducing Bloomingville’s holiday collections to the United States for the very first time, beginning at AmericasMart.”

Other international brands using AmericasMart to showcase their collections to the world include English lines Royal Daulton and Wolf; French lines Lampe Berger and Baccarat; and Pottery Avenue of Poland, Waterford Wedgewood of Ireland, Abbiamo Tutto of Italy and OneWorld Collection of Australia, whose only permanent American showroom is at AmericasMart.
