Luis Vásquez named new Head of Design at Schleich

Luis Vásquez is now in charge of designing all Schleich figurines and play worlds. As the new Director of Product Design, the industrial engineer is making a significant contribution to the strategic realignment of the company by creating authentic environments for the various individual Schleich figurines in their respective themed play worlds. Vásquez heads an eleven-person design team and is a member of the marketing leadership team. He reports to Victoria Sutch, Vice President of Marketing.

Vásquez is a valuable asset to the company, bringing extensive international knowledge in the areas of product innovation and design. He joined Schleich from Weber Grills, where he was responsible for Europe, the Middle East and Africa as Director of Product Management. He previously held various positions with electronic appliance manufacturer Braun in North America and Europe over a period of about ten years, most recently as Global Product & Program Manager. He also gained experience as a Process and Quality Engineer at razor manufacturer Gillette and as a Production Manager at jewelry company Fana in Colombia.
