The Magickal Cottage, a gift and curio shop, has opened in Salesville. The store offers a variety of unique gifts and hand-crafted items by local artisans.

The shop carries crystal balls, scrying mirrors, pendulums, fortune-telling decks and books, wands, spell kits, crystals, athames, cauldrons and other curiosities.

“We also have hand-beaded jewelry, hand-tied double and triple dream catchers, key chains, novelty pens, posters, bumper stickers, pins, magnets, candles, candle holders, incense, incense burners, oils and oil warmers, wind chimes, hand-crafted walking sticks, goblets, bath and beauty gift sets, crystal-growing kits, puzzles, wish boxes, hand-painted flower pots, sun catchers and more,” says co-owner Gail Carpenter. “Fairies, angels, dragons and unicorns are the order of the day. Tarot-and Totem-Card readings are available by appointment. Numerology charts, based on your name and birthdate information, can be ordered and will be provided to you within 24 hours in your own personal book.”

The store is owned by Carpenter and her sister Lori Hadley, both of Salesville.
