Roman, Inc. and Precious Moments, Inc. Sign Licensing Agreement

Bloomingdale, Ill. – Roman, Inc., a leader in the giftware industry, has signed a licensing agreement with fellow giftware manufacturer Precious Moments Inc., Rolling Meadows, Ill, to design and distribute inspirational product. Precious Moments came to Roman for its expertise in the religious goods marketplace, and the two companies will combine their individual strengths to create a product line similar to Roman’s that features Samuel J. Butcher’s artwork.

The initial licensed introduction, due out this Fall, will include sacramental gifts available for the first quarter of 2011. Later introductions will include more inspirational product, including plaques, crosses, and frames, as well as a line of Christmas products.

“Roman and Precious Moments both win with this agreement, but the big winner is the customer,” says Dan Loughman, President and CEO of Roman, Inc. “With our 47 year history, Roman can provide the expertise in designing and creating inspirational and sacramental product featuring the highly recognizable Precious Moments artwork.”

“It is a wonderful opportunity for two iconic family-run companies in the inspirational giftware industry to partner their collective expertise,” says Barbara Weston, Director of Giftware at Roman, Inc. We are already working on a November introduction of the Precious Moments Communion Collection.

Susan Meek, Vice President of Licensing at PMI stated, “Roman is one of the most respected names in our industry. We are pleased to be associated with such a quality company, and we look forward to a long, successful future together.”
