Roman Inc. to Mark 50th Anniversary in Dallas

Dallas Market Center today announced that Roman Inc. will celebrate its 50th anniversary during the Total Home & Gift Market, Jan. 16-22, 2013. Roman, located in 4-450, World Trade Center, has exhibited at the Dallas Market Center since 1975.

Roman, Inc. is a leading producer and exclusive distributor of more than 8,000 gifts and decorative accessories. Among the largest privately owned and operated firms in the industry, Roman offers a vast array of Christmas decorations and a wide range of inspirational, special occasion and year-round giftware. Roman is known for its award-winning collections that include Fontanini® Heirloom Nativity®, Joseph’s Studio™ Collection, Millenium® Collection, Valencia™ Collection, Seraphim Classics® and Jingle Buddies®.

Roman Inc. is the inspiration of Ron Jedlinski, who founded the company in 1963 with $500 and an old station wagon full of inspirational products. He carved his niche in religious articles and giftware, then expanded into wedding, anniversary, baby, christening and retirement lines. Ownership and management is being passed on to Ron’s daughter, Julie, who is co-owner with her mother, Diana. Julie’s husband, Dan Loughman, is the company’s president and CEO.

Roman will mark its 50th anniversary with customer giveaways, spin-to-win cash prizes, cocktail parties Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 16 and 17 from 4 to 6 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, Jan. 18 and 19 from 6 to 8 p.m., a meet and greet with Fontanini’s 4th generation family member, Emanuele Fontanini on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 18 and 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and more. The Fontanini family, based in Bagni di Lucca, Italy, has been crafting nativities for more than 100 years.
