Terra Natural Designs to Introduce Fair-Trade Eco Artwear™ Jewelry Line at The New York Gift Show January 29 – February 3, 2011

Fairfield, IA – Terra Natural Designs is pleased to announce their line of Sustainable Eco-Artwear™ Jewelry at the New York Gift Show at the end of this month.

This sustainable jewelry starts as seeds harvested from the Amazonian rain-forest in South America, and is transformed by local artisans into gracefully designed, one of a kind pieces of wearable art that are as much a fashion-statement as an eco-conscious one.

“Terra exists for all the right reasons” says Terra CEO Jesse Schele. “All too many luxury products create an enormous amount of pollution. Our goal is to provide an eco-conscious choice – jewelry made of sustainable and eco-friendly materials – to consumers who are just as concerned about fashion as they are about the environment.”

Most of Terra’s Eco-Artwear™ comes from a petrified nut that resembles a fine quality ivory and is crafted in a variety of striking colors attained from attentiveness to polishing and finishing.

Rings, Terra’s largest sellers, are completely comprised of an individual seed. Necklaces feature the same unique seeds blended with other natural materials such as crystals and leather to compliment and feature Eco-Artwear™ on the customer’s choice of outfit. Eco-Artwear™ Jewelry is available in different packages ranging from $250-$2,500 and will be accompanied by equally distinctive point of sale counter displays, including the story behind the brand and a pictorial slide show. And, as you’ll see via the Terra website, the jewelry is just as spectacular on-line as off.

Terra is featured in the Sustainability Display as well as in New York’s Newest at the New York Gift Show from January 29 – February 3 in the North Concourse of at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.

Stop by the Terra Booth for a chance to give a gift and save a life! Seeing – and in this case wearing – is believing. So we invite you to pick up, wear, and experience Terra’s Eco Artwear™ at booth 32017 at the Gift Show on Pier 92. About Terra Natural Designs
Jesse and Pamela Schele founded Terra Natural Designs in 2008 to distribute natural and sustainable goods created by people of their native South America. While studying indigenous healing practices in South America, Jesse – Terra’s CEO – discovered that local populations were creating jewelry sustainably harvested from immense palms in the Amazon, without harming the trees, animals, or people in any way. After concurring with Pam, they decided to focus on the jewelry business and develop organic and sustainable products that at are also attractive to people all over the world.

Recognizing that the jewelry was in a very early stage of maturity, Pam strove to design jewelry from these natural resources that made as much of a fashion statement as an eco-conscious one. This confluence of sustainable materials with fashion is what Terra calls Eco Artwear™

Terra’s passion for creating and distributing truly sustainable yet fashionable goods is matched by their overarching objective to ensure their fellow South Americans share in the success of Terra via Fair Trade practices. To that end, Terra takes an active role in the oversight of these invaluable indigenous resources to ensure the quality of their work environment in addition to the quality of Terra’s Eco-Artwear ™ jewelry.
