Top Chicago Designer Creates Bike Share Bag

Maria Boustead, founder and designer for Po Campo, has announced her latest creation, a bag designed specifically for bike share bikes. The bag is designed specifically to fit into the basket of the bike, allowing the rider to carry a lot of stuff, without worrying about it getting smashed or falling out.

“I fell in love with the bike share system as soon as I started using it here in Chicago,” Boustead said. “The one thing I thought I could improve is how to carry stuff. Most people, myself included, wear their bags on their backs because the front rack doesn’t really hold large items. This can get really uncomfortable if your bag is big or heavy and then you end up showing up at your destination all sweaty, and nobody wants that.”

Made of heavyweight weather resistant waxed canvas, the bag keeps your stuff dry even in the rain. It has reflective details to help keep you safe at night and a spacious interior equipped with a lot of pockets to keep your gear organized. The pocket on the front perfectly fits your phone and has a keychain so your bike share key fob is always easily accessible.

“The Po Campo Bike Share Bag is the first of its kind.” Elliot Greenberger, the general manager of Chicago’s Divvy, said. “I think a bag designed specifically for the bike share bikes is terrific. It definitely makes fitting bike share into your life even easier.”

The Po Campo Bike Share Bag is designed to fit bike share bikes in many cities, including Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Boston, Minneapolis, London, Montreal, Toronto, Melbourne, Ottawa, Aspen, Colorado, Chattanooga, Tennessee and Columbus, Ohio.

The Po Campo Bike Share Bag retails for $85.
