Trend Lab LLC and Paddington Bear Sign License Agreement for Baby Product Line and Décor

Trend Lab LLC has recently signed a license agreement with The Copyrights Group for Paddington Bear. The product line is scheduled to launch in late 2014 to coincide with the movie release. Offerings will include infant crib bedding, room décor accents, and gifts. Designs will reflect the endearing appeal of the story line along with iconic British motifs. The initial launch will be a capsule collection in support of the movie release, with broader line opportunities introduced throughout 2015.

Paddington Bear’s adventure starts when he arrives at Paddington Station in London from Darkest Peru having stowed away in a ship’s lifeboat and survived on marmalade. The story of how he was taken in to live with the Brown family and his faultless manners are heartwarming for the reader and wonderful examples for children. The Trend Lab products will include Paddington’s famous tag line “Please look after this bear. Thank you.” Other distinctive elements from the story will be incorporated into the products including Paddington’s favorite food, marmalade, his famous suitcase, and well-known London landmarks.

The Paddington Bear by Trend Lab line is geared for broad mid-tier appeal in the US market. Fabrications will be soft, tactile and snuggly with appliques and embroidery embellishments bringing dimension and detailing to the products.
