Up With Paper Unveils Pop-up Notepads

Mason, OH – Up With Paper, the world’s leading marketer of innovative three dimensional greeting cards, announced that it will launch a new line of Pop-Up Notepads at the 2009 National Stationery Show in May. The new line, which will launch with a 9-notepad everyday offering, shipping in July, features entertaining, fanciful designs and unique pop-ups that add a dash of fun to what has been a largely utilitarian category.

With a durable cover that snaps shut with a magnetic closure, and a 100-page notepad produced from post-consumer waste recycled stock, each Pop-Up Notepad is designed to be a readily available accessory to record the newest idea—any time and any where. The notepads are 3.25 x 4.5-inch in diameter and 0.75-inch thick, and fit easily into any purse, pocket, or glove compartment.

The Pop-Up Notepad line, which will be available exclusively in the specialty card and gift market, may be merchandised on store shelves or in Up With Paper’s nine-design counter corrugate unit. The notepads have a suggested retail price of $4.99.

“These new Pop-Up Notepads bring Up With Paper’s design and pop-up flair to this emerging category,” said George White, president of Up With Paper. “A number of our customers and sales representatives have been asking us to enter this category, and we are pleased to respond with this offering.”

The notepads include a variety of designs, created under the eye of Up With Paper Creative Director, Monika Brandrup, to fit the style and mood of a broad cross-section of consumers.

“We are very excited to launch this new Pop-Up Notepads line at the National Stationery Show this year,” said White. “This line continues our trend of breaking new ground in the market, as we have previously done with our Treasures, Panoramics, Pop-Up Snow Globe Greetings, and new Turning Points greeting card line. We look forward to retailer reaction, and to partnering with them for growth in the specialty market with this line.”

Originally founded as PopShots, Inc., in 1978, Up With Paper has been recognized for design excellence more than 55 times with the International Greeting Card Association’s highest honor, the “LOUIE” award, including the “Card of the Year” LOUIE Award in 2005.
