GHTA announces Sixth Annual Conference to be held in Sanibel Island, FL
GRAND RAPIDS, MICH.: The Gift and Home Trade Association (GHTA) announced its 6th Annual Conference will be held in Sanibel Island, Florida, Nov. 20-22, 2008. Designed to provide educational and networking opportunities for all participants in the gift and home industry, this year’s conference will address ‘Prospering in the Age of Globalization and the Internet.’
A not-for-profit professional trade organization formed to help vendors, sales agencies and industry affiliates work together, the GHTA’s mission is to lead and transform the gift and home industry to ensure its long-term health and viability.
The Annual Conference will feature prominent keynote speakers, soon to be announced, presenting content on globalization and technology-related issues. Breakout sessions, panel discussions and Q/As will cover relevant topics, including:
-How the Retail and Wholesale Markets are Changing
-Guerilla Marketing (aka, marketing without spending big bucks)
-Helping Independent Retailers Brand Themselves
-Training your Sales Team
A golf tournament, the GHTA’s second annual ‘unconference,’ Speed Networking and a cocktail party are planned to kick off the conference on Thursday, Nov. 20. Also new to this not-to-be-missed event is a hospitality room for members’ use throughout the conference and an expanded exhibitor area.
