Specialty gift store
A patch of this, a patch of that and soon before you know it, you would have created a gift that is beyond your wildest dreams. But this is no dream. It can be as real as you want it to be and can only be come true at The Strawberry Patch.
This trendy little haven has been nestled in the Seahorse Village Shopping Centre for little over a year and has been gaining rave reviews from the Lucaya community for its spectacular gift selections and exotic notions.
In fact, the ‘gift store,’ which can clearly be viewed as ‘eclectic,’ is best described as a place where persons can find creative and innovative ways to keep memories potent through gifts.
Owner Michelle Adderley says The Strawberry Patch is being operated with one major goal in mind and that is to ensure that it will always remain inventive in its approach to gift-giving.
“The name Strawberry Patch just came to me,” Adderley said. “Some people asked me why didn’t you pick a more Bahamian name like guava or soursop patch, but I wanted the name to be unique so that it would reflect a place where you find odds and ends or something really cute and catchy.”
The store itself gives a refreshing start to creating gifts. The bright colours and unique items lining the walls within tell you at first glance that it is no ordinary gift shop.
Adderley notes that the store is set up to display a lot of the products they carry. She added that the majority of the times whenever people enter the store, they have no clue or idea on how they want to put certain things together and that is where the expertise of the staff at The Strawberry Patch comes in, advising them so that they get the full enjoyment of the ‘gift experience.’ That is getting a feel of how to generate good gift ideas.
