Australis Launches Gluten Free Baking Range at the Fancy Food Show
Los Angeles, CA – Australis Food Group will unveil their gluten and allergen-free Something Good range of baking mixes at the Winter Fancy Food Show in San Francisco, January 2010.
The supermarket range of cakes and breads caters to people with wheat and dairy allergies without sacrificing flavor or texture.
“For a long time people with celiac disease or gluten intolerance had very limited choices when it came to baked goods and had to cut out favorite treats such as cupcakes,” says Australis CEO, Mr. Neil Page. “We identified a need for mainstream, gluten-free baking mixes that were attractively packaged, easy to use and tasted fantastic so that’s what Australis has created with Something Good.”
Melbourne-based Australis Foods, which specializes in allergen and gluten-free products, hopes that its healthy alternatives for people with wheat and other allergies will be popular in the U.S. where as many as one in 133 people are affected by celiac disease, an intolerance to proteins found in wheat, barley, rye, and other grains.
Easy to prepare, Something Good Super Grain Bread mix includes a baking tin in the packet and the Cupcake mix comes complete with the gluten-free icing and sprinkles.
Not only is the range perfect for people with allergies to wheat; Something Good doesn’t contain any dairy, eggs, treenuts, soy products, trans fats or fructose. Developed specifically for the U.S. market, Something Good products are manufactured in uniquely allergen-free production plant and are certified Kosher and Halal.
The Something Good range includes gluten and allergen-free Cupcake, Super Grain Bread, Chocolate Mud Cake and White Bread baking mixes.
Australis will also showcase their top-selling weight control product, Lupin8, Taste the Outback home-baking range and their Infinity Weight and Limb Management for overweight and diabetic cats and dogs at the Fancy Food Show.
