Woodstock Chimes® Launches Soloist Series with Yoga Chime
Shokan, N.Y. — Woodstock Chimes®, a leading manufacturer of precision-tuned windchimes, is set to introduce over 20 new products at the summer markets, including the first piece in its new Soloist Series™. The Soloist Series features windchimes paired with a CD of original music tuned to the same scale as the chime, further enhancing the listening experience. The first chime to debut in the Series is the Woodstock Yoga Chime™, which includes a “Music for Yoga” CD by composer and yoga practitioner Art Lindemanis of Artful Touch Music®. The chime and CD’s relaxing tones are meant to improve one’s yoga experience. The Series’ original chime will debut at the upcoming Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market® in July.
“We are always excited to introduce new products to the market, but this Series is especially unique for Woodstock Chimes,” says Woodstock CEO Garry Kvistad. “This is the first time we’ve combined a musical CD element with one of our windchimes. Consumers are always looking for new experiences and ways to relax with products. What better way than to offer the Soloist Series? Drawing from my professional music background, I created this series to take our windchimes to the next level — soothing the soul through sound.”
Yoga means “union” in Sanskrit, and the practice of yoga is all about balance — the physical balance to hold the poses, the balance between mind, body and spirit, and the balance between an individual and his/her environment. The Woodstock Yoga Chime was designed with the latter balance in mind, making an environment as peaceful and calm as possible to strengthen one’s yoga practice. The Yoga Chime is tuned to a beautiful East Indian Raga scale and serves as the soloist, while the accompanying “Music for Yoga” CD has been composed using the same Raga tuning. Played together, the chime and CD create a unique orchestra of sound, bettering the home or yoga studio environment. The company is currently working with a North Carolina yoga instructor to test market the chimes in her classes.
To utilize the chime during a yoga session, it can be placed in an open window or near an indoor source of moving air, including a fan or duct. The chime also makes an exceptional accent to any outdoor environment and features six silver anodized tubes, ash wood accents and measures 37.5 inches in length. MSRP: $70.00.
