WILLIAMSBURG Licensees Blend Trend and Tradition at Fall Markets

Williamsburg, VA – WILLIAMSBURG will have a strong brand presence this fall with various licensees debuting new products at the New York Tabletop Market (Oct. 12-15) and the High Point International Home Furnishings Market (Oct. 16-21). Fusing trend with tradition, introductions from WILLIAMSBURG combine rich design inspiration from Colonial Williamsburg’s collections with colors and styles well-suited for today.

In New York, Reed & Barton will extend the popular WILLIAMSBURG Farmyard Friends collection of baby gifts with a ceramic child’s set and a musical carousel, both decorated with baby animals based on Colonial Williamsburg’s rare breeds. Each will retail at approximately $60. Reed & Barton will also introduce the WILLIAMSBURG Apothecary Jewelry Cabinet inspired by a neoclassic medicine chest made in Piedmont, Virginia, around 1810. With a retail price of $265, the chest is a distinctive way to store special pieces.

At High Point, Global Views, known for its industry-leading color palette, will introduce the WILLIAMSBURG Beaufort collection of ceramic urns in citron yellow, cream and chocolate. This bright color combination brings contemporary pop to timeless design. Inspired by several jar-and-urn-shaped pieces in Colonial Williamsburg’s collections, including the finials on a bed in the Governor’s Palace, the Beaufort Collection coordinates well with other WILLIAMSBURG pieces from Global Views. The popular WILLIAMSBURG Westmoreland line, based on a Virginia-made blanket chest in the Colonial Williamsburg collections, expands with a new Side Cabinet. The cabinet, a small chest with the same bold, stylish, geometric carved façade, goes perfectly alongside a chair or bed. The cabinet pairs nicely with the new Dickinson Club Chair boasting blind fret detailing and gray leather upholstery.

Working in a neutral palette, Sedgefield by Adams adds the WILLIAMSBURG Plum Blossom vase of delicately molded white porcelain and Asian detail to its collection. The piece is modeled after Chinese-inspired vases made in 1750 at the Chelsea Porcelain Manufactory.

Capel will introduce three new WILLIAMSBURG rugs in transitional styles. A damask design in tufted wool is inspired by an 18th-century silk textile from the Colonial Williamsburg archives. Colorways are persimmon and chocolate, grey and spring green, and a neutral in beige, grey and tan. Other new rugs include a tufted, loop hook inspired by a pinwheel motif from a painted folk art blanket chest and a braid design in spring colors.
