Lauren Gryniewski

Company

Old Tom Foolery / Modern Lore / Greater Goods

Job Title

owner & creative director

Accomplishments

In 2007, Gryniewski and her husband delved into the stationery world after purchasing an antique letterpress on Craigslist. They launched Old Tom Foolery and have since won six National Stationery Show LOUIE awards, including Rising Star and Most Humorous Card. In 2013, Gryniewski recognized a lack of contemporary photography in the boutique greeting card market, so she collected images from a group of talented photographers to form their second brand, Modern Lore. Also in 2013, she and her husband opened their flagship store in Minneapolis, Greater Goods. Every year the shop partners with a local organization to volunteer and give a portion of profits back to the community.
