Peer Perspective: Colorado Hemp Honey
Nick French | founder and bee shepherd, Colorado Hemp Honey
Company mission: Frangiosa Farms is committed to responsible beekeeping in the face of bee decline through community education, backyard beekeeping, and support of locally sourced pure and simple honey.
How do your products serve the mission? Our artisan raw honey products come straight from the beehives at our farm at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. We use only organic practices (no pesticides) to help protect the bees and keep them safe from mites. Also, the Adopt a Honeybee program goes directly back to the beehives and bees as do a portion of the sales from our Frangiosa Farms artisan raw honeys. For Colorado Hemp Honey products, we also work with farmers who have the same practices for their bees and honey locally in Colorado.
Plans for the future: We plan to share more of Adopt a Honeybee and spread awareness on the importance of bees for most of our food. Proceeds from sales and adoption of hives will go back to directly caring for bees.
How can retailers get involved? Retailers can become involved by carrying our products in their store or adopting hives and sharing this knowledge with their customers. For more information on becoming a wholesale account, they can visit the Wholesale section of www.coloradohemphoney.com or visit www.adoptahoneybee.com for more information on adopting hives.
