Neighborly

Nestled quietly in Chicago’s Ravenswood neighborhood, Neighborly originally started in Jenny Beorkrem’s former studio where she and her team designed neighborhood themed posters. The growth of that company led them to move the design studio a few blocks away, but Neighborly took over the space after testing it out as a pop up shop during a holiday season.

Today Ork posters are Neighborly’s flagship product but nearby residents stop by the contemporary shop to buy gifts produced by mostly local and Midwest artists.

“The Chicago neighborhood poster is our No. 1 seller, but a lot of artwork does well here, too,” Beorkrem said. The poster design sells so well, she’s produced a line of T-shirts featuring the design. Intelligentsia coffee mugs are popular gifts for both men and women as are the spices and hot sauce bottles by local organizations.
