Best Sellers in… Honolulu, Hawaii By Katlyn Murray

Red Pineapple

Customization and customer service rule at Red Pineapple, the chic Honolulu gift shop owned by Nalani Holliday. Red Pineapple is Nalani’s second business venture. She also owns a bakery called Auntie Nalani’s Cookies and was inspired to open a gift shop when many of her customers began asking for more than sweet treats to go into the custom gift baskets that she is known for making.

Red Pineapple is focused on helping customers find exactly what they are looking for. Customers sometimes bring in magazine clippings of items that they would like to buy. Holliday tracks these items down and then carries them in the store. Store staff provide personal shopping services if needed and also call customers to let them know when their favorite products are in stock. The store offers to ship products via regular mail, which saves island customers on shipping costs.
