Memento PDX

Located in the heart of Portland’s eclectic Hawthorne neighborhood, Memento PDX— formerly known as Greg’s— has been a fixture on Hawthorne Street for over 16 years.

A year ago, after Greg passed away, seven-year Greg’s veteran Miranda Levin and Brian Boshart reopened the store. Since then, the couple has worked tirelessly to stay true to what locals have come to expect, while slowly incorporating new lines from local artists.

Levin’s business card, made from a vintage playing card, perfectly sums up her approach— unconventional, fun, and effortlessly cool.

Fittingly, the store’s new incarnation as Memento—Latin for memory—is a name that honors the memory of a dear friend and reminds shoppers of the significance of gift giving.

Memento is filled with one-of-a-kind keepsakes that offer a bit of that offbeat Portland vibe— think beautifully drawn portraits of animals dressed in suits—along with locally made jewelry, candles, and greeting cards.
