Rue Lafayette

Araceli Kopiloff-Zimmer and Richard Zimmer, Owners
ruelafayette.us

“It makes me happy that this is a meeting place,” says Araceli Kopiloff-Zimmer, owner of Rue Lafayette. Her boutique and café are located across from Lafayette Park in the historic Lafayette Square neighborhood of St. Louis, where colorful Victorian-era homes known as “Painted Ladies” line the streets. And residing inside Rue Lafayette is the one and only Bella, a black-and-white Boston terrier who carries herself like a movie star.

Araceli’s husband, Richard, is an antiques dealer, so this Jazz Age-inspired boutique is filled with one-of-a-kind treasures, including jewelry, home furnishings and pre-stamped postcards that can be mailed there too. The couple opened their business three years ago, renovating a building from the 1920s. This renovation was featured in an episode of HGTV’s “Renovation Realities.”
