100+ Companies Will Showcase Affordable, On-Trend Products at Summer Market

White Plains, NY — Over 100 new companies – many offering price-sensitive lines and eco-friendly products – will join the New York International Gift Fair®’s (NYIGF®) Personal Accessories featuring Details® this summer, infusing the show with fresh new resources. Of the division’s total 365 exhibitors, 65 are located withinDetails, a special showcase of contemporary and specialty boutique-quality personal accessories.

“The great majority – approximately 95% – of the division’s newcomers represent companies making their NYIGF debut. The other five percent of the exhibitors have moved into Personal Accessories featuring Details from other NYIGF divisions, or are returning to market following an absence,” said Dorothy Belshaw, NYIGF director and GLM senior vice president.

A common characteristic among the products offered by the new Personal Accessories exhibitors is an emphasis on affordable yet indulgent products, and functional items with a stylish flair, like the chic jewelry pouches from Gemvelopes (www.gemvelopes.com); luggage tags from Saltbox Accessories (www.funmade.com); and laptop bags in vintage patterns from Mellow World (www.mellowworld.net).

Additionally, a contingent of exhibitors, in both Personal Accessories and Details, are showcasing environmentally-friendly products, including the freshwater pearl jewelry from EcoOpulence (www.ecoopulence.com); EnV’s nylon shopping bags in graphic patterns (www.envbags.com); and fused glass pendants from Lisa Ann Sparks (www.sparksglassart.com).

Key newcomers in Personal Accessories include Lauren G. Adams, My Oilcloth, Inc., Otazu For Additionals and Taolei Designs. Returning exhibitors expanding their presence include AJ Morgan, Alashan Cashmere, Highway, Murval Paris, Passion, Rowallan of Scotland and Tokyo Bay, Inc.

New companies participating within the Details showcase include Andrew Hamilton Crawford, Apple & Bee, Kim&Maki LLC, Mondaine Watch Ltd., T-Box USA and Yarnz. Additionally, returning exhibitors, Cinzia, Glam-Glam Noir by Triple C Designs, Envirosax and Stewart/Stand, all are expanding their exhibit space.

Personal Accessories featuring Details is located between the 8100 and 8077 aisles at the north end on Level 1 of New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. This summer, the division will expand to occupy 55,000-square feet – a 30% increase over the winter market.

The summer edition of NYIGF takes place Saturday, August 15, through Thursday, August 20, at the Javits Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Pier 94 in New York City. Personal Accessories featuring Details opens on Sunday, August 16, at the Javits Center.

NYIGF is the nation’s premier gift, home and lifestyle marketplace, with 2,900 exhibiting companies featuring an extraordinary breadth and depth of design-driven home fashion products and complementary giftware. Some 30,000 attendees from all 50 states and around the world are expected. For information and registration, visitwww.nyigf.com.
