Dallas Market Center and ART, the creative home furnishings network, have announced that the Malouf Foundation will be honored with a special HEARTS Award at the 32nd ARTS Awards. The gala event honoring home industry excellence will be emceed by Thom Filicia and Carson Kressley at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas on Friday, Jan. 7, 2022.

The Malouf Foundation is being honored for their sustained leadership helping keep children safe. Their flagship cause is confronting child sexual exploitation through education, healing and justice. They support their mission by donating products, partnering with industry experts and survivor leaders to educate the public, and advocating to improve awareness in groups and communities that can make a difference. In 2020, more than 15,000 individuals were trained nationwide by the Malouf Foundation to help increase identification of victims, and a new initiative was established to provide long-term restorative care for child survivors of sex trafficking.

“We are honoring the Malouf Foundation for one simple reason: heart-based leadership,” said Sharon Davis, executive director of ART. “Kacie and Sam have put their values into action by creating an organization that protects the most vulnerable. During this extraordinary time, we want to recognize the remarkable values the Malouf Foundation reflects and the incredible results they have generated.”

The HEARTS Award is a special honor that began as an entire event during the pandemic. In June of  2021, the annual ARTS Awards was replaced by a one-time special event called the HEARTS Awards held in partnership and solidarity with twelve leading industry organizations to honor companies and individuals that have shown outstanding leadership, empathy, and service during the COVID-19 pandemic. With the return of the ARTS Awards, organizations were invited to nominate a worthy organization for a HEARTS Award.

The Malouf Foundation was created in 2016 by Kacie and Sam Malouf, founders of Malouf Home™, which features more than 10,000 product options and has more than 15,000 retail partners. Because of the capabilities of the core company, the Malouf Foundation can give 100% of its resources to the people it serves.

The ARTS Awards, presented annually during the January Dallas Total Home & Gift Market, recognizes preeminent manufacturers, retailers, interior designers, product designers, and sales representatives.  Carson Kressley and Thom Filicia will return to the stage as official emcees of the black-tie gala. The emcees, together with a slate of industry leaders, will announce category winners, the special Academy of Achievement Award being presented to Caroline Hipple of Norwalk Furniture, and the HEARTS Award being presented to the Malouf Foundation.

Tickets are $145 for ART members and $170 for non-members. Tables are also available. For more information visit www.dallasmarketcenter.com/artsawards.
